Goldcrest Valley Map Animals Pastures Where Are Animal Areas in Farm

have you played on silvercrest V1 or V2?

not yet, but its on my list to do mate.

What are your thoughts on Silvercrest?

Lovin this upgraded map better than the ingame one

yer i agree mate, even Stevie him self came in and thanked me for the review.

This is a nice edit. I prefer it over the original with all the animal pastures closer to the farm, but we get way to much starting equipment.
There is no feeling of progression when all is handed to us before we even start the game.
How can I start this map with the default starting equipment?

Edit: I figured it out. I just started a game on the default map, saved the game, and went to my save game folder and just copied the default vehicle.xml from the original to this version. Worked like a charm!

Nice review, aside from you mention a bunch of things as new when they are identical to goldcrest valley. Chicken coop for instance is in the same place, the train station you noticed is also the same, etc etc etc

First you start the unedited map and save it right at the beginning. Close the game, go to ducuments --> my games --> FS17 --> the correct save game --> vehicles.xml
Copy this to desktop, right click and edit, copy everything then go back to FS17 --> mods.
There you will find the map mod, open that (dont unpack it, just open it) Move the defaultVehicle.xml to desktop, right click and edit - mark everything and paste. Close and save it, then copy it back to the map folder = Profit.

Hope this helps.

The review is nice and the map has its merits but not one id play. Putting everything right next to the farm to me ruins the immersion of traveling the map. Having to move beyond the fields to store and current for instance cattle and pigs sell point seems more balanced. Problem with maps is they tend to trend toward being less immersive instead of more. In this case I would pass.

Actually have you ever been on a farm with it's animals spread all over? From a realism standpoint custom maps increase realism.

Any farmer that will deal with animals will want them close or semi close so they can actually keep an eye on them and such..

But if you immersion says they should be far away, then go for it.
