Easy Frozen Birthday Cake

We made this Frozen altogether cake for our oldest daughter's seventh altogether — she's been a HUGE fan of the picture and Queen Elsa since she first saw it!

Since it was Father's Day weekend too, I wanted to make the preparations equally easy as possible for the hubby. He usually does all of the cooking and baking, but I thought that I would try my paw at making a special (inspired past the motion picture of course) Frozen birthday cake for our special daughter.

I'm certain y'all've seen pictures floating around the internet of elaborate Frozen cakes made to look like a doll'southward skirt (with the actual doll sticking out of the top!)

They're admittedly stunning — but way beyond my skill level.

So I decided to use box block mix and create a marbled surprise inside, and coat the outside with blue frosting and M&Ms. It's a much more manageable chore, but information technology would however a princess-worthy cake!

Frozen Cake Ingredients

For your convenience, I've included store-able ad links to some of the products used to make our Frozen Marble Block recipe; read our disclosure policy here.

  • Ane box of white cake mix + ingredients listed on box
  • Blue food coloring
  • 1 can white whipped frosting
  • Blue emphasis frosting (I used this Betty Crocker Easy Period Icing)
  • Blue 1000&Ms
  • White chocolate chips

How to Make a Frozen Inspired Marbled Cake

Prepared the cake mix according to directions on the box.

Cascade 1 cup of concoction into a pocket-size mixing basin. Add together blue nutrient coloring to this small bowl until the batter is your desired shade of blue.

Split the rest of the cake batter into two Round Cake Pans.

Cascade the blueish batter into each of your cake pans in a swirly pattern. Use a butter knife to slowly stir until the bluish batter is spread throughout.

Bake co-ordinate to directions on box. Let cake to fully cool before frosting. (I used the unabridged can of white whipped frosting).

Add your decorations!

I picked out all of the blue M&Ms from two baking-sized bags (I served the extras in a bowl at the party, so they definitely didn't go to waste!) I pressed the bluish M&Ms and white chocolate chips into the sides of the cake like and so:

I used blue accent icing to decorate the top and write Happy Birthday. The event was a Frozen altogether cake fit for a princess!
