Is Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld Part 2 the Last Season, Yes, Sword Art Online War of Underworld 2 is the final season, But not the end of Sword Art Online series.
We know this season as Sword Art Online War of Underworld 2, They most likely mean it's the final season for Alicization.
Technically, this hasn't been called "Sword Art Online Season 4", I am 100% sure is not the end, Sword Art Online probably going to live until the half of this decade just because of the money that the series makes.
Before this, the Phantom Bullet arc was "SAO 2." They've never bothered with calling any new arc of SAO "season #X," it just gets a new title… Even with Sword Art Online War of Underworld 2.
It's not season 1 or 2, Sword Art Online War of Underworld 2 is Season 3 of Alicization, but it has its own title.
Whole Sword Art Online War of Underworld 2 feel's similarly as Endgame. it may not be the end of Sword Art Online.
Sword Art Online War of Underworld 2 is the finale for Alicization. But there is still more material to adapt overall.
I guess this is also an indication that they don't plan on having Moon Cradle be part of the Sword Art Online War of Underworld 2 anime adaptation even though they technically take place in the same world. (information on the final arc and Moon Cradle arc are available below)
We may possibly get Moon Cradle in this cour as its part of the Sword Art Online War of Underworld 2 arc; however, I get a feeling it may be covered as an OVA.

The next non-Alicization arc, Unital Ring, the final arc, isn't far enough along for an adaptation yet… probably another significant wait for that.
There is also Sword Art Online Progressive, which is a floor by floor retelling of the Aincrad arc, but that could be iffier for an adaptation… at least not until the main series is over.
But considering how profitable and popular SAO is, they will most likely make a complete adaptation of the entire story once there is enough material to continue.

The final arc of the Sword Art Online series has just started in Japan and is titled Unital Ring! Unital Ring 1 is the 21st Volume of the series and comes after the entire Alicization, including Volume 19-20's Moon Cradle.
The cover of Unital Ring features Kirito in a bulkier armor than we have ever seen him in, along with Undine Asuna from ALO and Alice Synthesis 30 that we met back in Alicization is a Cait Sith attire from ALO.
Similar to Sinon and Silica! And yeah, the cover itself is already enormous spoilers for those who didn't read the Novels.
Kirito, Asuna, and Alice take on the survival MMO named Unital Ring! One month following Kirito and Asuna's return from Underworld.
Having obtained a physical body in the real world, Alice had joined their midst. However, their peace suddenly came to an end.
The three of them were suddenly dragged into a mysterious game named Unital Ring. This was a Survival MMO formed by The Seed program by fusing all other VRMMO games.
Having lost all of his valuable equipment at the start of the game, Kirito was left with nothing more than a pair of underwear.
Under these dire circumstances, Kirito takes on the VRMMOSVG shrouded in mysteries! Asuna was in Underworld, spent a vast amount of time they're actually at the end of Alicization.
And together with Kirito and Alice, they returned to real life, promptly before finding themselves in yet another Seed creation, Unital Ring. They are not trapped mind you, the log out button exists.
The Map Overview for Unital Ring, we can see three distinctly different areas, a forest up north, a desert in the middle, and plains in the south. The map overall is not all that important without the context.
Unital Ring environment as well, and you can probably expect moments of Nostalgia. Reki said that the concept of "Unification" was in his mind ever since Fairy Dance, but Let's hope this "Unification" does not turn out to be just as sad…

Kuroyukihime, aka Black Lotus, one of the main characters of Accel World has had quite the mysterious past for a long time, and Accel World and SAO fans like to speculate a lot that both series' universes are connected.
Again, no such thing was confirmed as of yet, but Unital Ring is throwing the fans yet another bone.
The woman you see in this illustration is referred to as Kamura, which is the family name of Hime's mother.
It's actually quite exciting to think about these possibilities and theories, but I'll leave it at that for now!
Is Unital ring arc the Final arc of SAO?
It's up to the author whether or not its the final arc. I haven't seen him making any statements saying that it is.
Well, you know with anime, you can never tell. For example, DBS came out 30 years after DBZ. So it's impossible to tell honestly.
